Privacy Policy
Effective October 12, 2026
1. Introduction
End Abortion Alabama ("EAA," "we," "us") is a non-partisan 501(c)(4) organization working to establish equal protection for preborn children in Alabama. This policy explains what information we collect through endabortional.org and related pages, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
By using our website, signing a petition, donating, or contacting us, you agree to this policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or submit information to us.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you sign a petition, donate, sign up for updates, or contact us, we collect what you enter, which may include:
- Name, email address, and phone number
- Mailing address, city, and ZIP code (which we may use to find your Alabama House and Senate districts)
- Church name and role, if you share them
- Donation amount, frequency, date, and how you gave
- Anything you write to us in a message or on a call
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, we and our service providers may collect:
- Device and browser information, IP address, and general location (city or state)
- Pages you visit, links you click, the site that referred you, and campaign tags in the link you followed (such as an email, ad, or QR code)
- Information from cookies, pixels, and similar tools, described in section 4
- Whether you open our emails and which links in them you click, so we know what's useful and can stop emailing people who no longer read them
- Browser and device signals used by Cloudflare Turnstile, which protects our petition and donation forms from bots by telling people apart from automated programs
Text message consent. If you check the box to receive text messages, we record your phone number, the time, the page where you opted in, and the exact consent wording you agreed to, so we can show that you asked for our texts.
Information from others. We may receive information about you from our payment processors when you donate, from advertising partners, and from contact lists we previously kept on other platforms.
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Count and record petition signatures, and deliver petitions to lawmakers
- Process donations, send receipts, and thank donors, including by phone
- Send news, action alerts, and requests for support by email and, if you opt in, by text message
- Respond to your messages and requests
- Understand how people use the site so we can improve it
- Share our message through online advertising and measure its results (section 4)
- Keep the site secure and prevent fraud and abuse
- Meet legal and tax-reporting obligations
4. Cookies, pixels, and advertising
We use cookies, pixels, web beacons, and similar technologies from third parties, including Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google, on our site. These third parties use them to collect or receive information from our site and elsewhere on the internet, and use that information to measure how our ads perform, show our ads to people who visited our site (sometimes called remarketing), and target ads to people likely to be interested. These tools may collect your IP address, device and browser information, the pages you view, and actions you take on the site, such as signing a petition or giving. Our partners may combine this with information they already hold about you, under their own privacy policies.
Meta. We use the Meta Pixel in your browser and Meta's Conversions API, which sends information from our server. When you sign a petition or give, we send Meta your email address, name, ZIP code, and state in scrambled (hashed) form, along with your IP address, browser information, and Meta's cookie identifiers, so Meta can match the action to its users and help us measure and improve our ads. We never send your phone number to Meta.
Google. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use our site, such as which pages they visit, how they arrived, their device and approximate location, and whether they sign a petition or give (including the gift amount, but not your name, email, or payment details). We may also use Google advertising tools to measure our ads and show our ads to people who visited our site. Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies to show you our ads on other websites based on your past visits to our site. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google'sbrowser add-on.
Our own site also stores, in your browser for up to 30 days, the campaign link or website that brought you to us and the pages you visit. When you sign a petition or give, we save this with your record so we can see which emails, ads, and articles are working. Links in our emails carry campaign tags for the same reason.
Your choices. You can opt out of the collection and use of your information for ad targeting:
- Meta: adjust your ad settings at facebook.com/adpreferences, including turning off ads based on information from partners.
- Google: turn off personalized ads at myadcenter.google.com.
- Many companies at once: optout.aboutads.info and youradchoices.com.
- Your browser: block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. This also clears the campaign information our site stores.
Your browser may send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there's no common standard for it, we don't respond to it, but the choices above remain available.
5. Donations and payment processing
Donations are processed by Stripe, and some through Donorbox. Your card or bank details go directly to them; EAA never sees or stores your full card number. Their use of your information is covered by the Stripe Privacy Policy and the Donorbox Privacy Policy.
We keep your name, contact details, and the amount, date, frequency, and source of each gift, so we can thank you, answer questions, and help if a payment fails.
End Abortion Alabama is a 501(c)(4) organization. Donations are not tax-deductible. We keep donation records as tax and accounting rules require, and we share donor information with government agencies only when the law requires it.
6. How we share information
We never sell your personal information, and we don't give or rent our supporter list to other organizations, candidates, or campaigns.
What lawmakers receive. When we deliver petitions, we may include signers' names and ZIP codes. We don't give legislators or their offices your email address, phone number, or street address.
We share information only:
- With service providers that run the site and our work for us, under their own privacy and security terms: website hosting, security, and bot protection (Cloudflare), payment processing (Stripe, Donorbox), email delivery (Amazon Web Services), and our supporter database.
- With advertising platforms as described in section 4, which may include contact information in scrambled (hashed) form so we can measure our ads and our messages reach the right people. If we give an advertising platform a list of supporters, we leave out people who unsubscribed or asked not to be contacted. We never share phone numbers with advertising platforms.
- When the law requires it, such as a valid subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights and safety of EAA, our supporters, or others.
- If EAA merges with or transfers its assets to a like-minded organization, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.
7. Email and text messages
If you sign a petition, donate, or sign up, we may send you news, action alerts, and requests for support by email. Every marketing email has a one-click unsubscribe link. Once you unsubscribe, we keep a record of that so you stay unsubscribed, even if we move to a different email service.
Unsubscribing from email doesn't stop receipts or messages about a donation you made. We may also call donors to say thank you or help with a payment. To stop calls, tell the caller or email us.
Text messages. If you opt in to EAA text alerts by checking the optional box on our forms, we may send recurring automated text messages to the mobile number you provide, such as action alerts. By opting in, you agree to receive them. EAA isn't obligated to send any particular message or number of messages.
- Message frequency varies.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You'll get one confirmation and no further texts unless you opt in again.
- Reply HELP for help, or email info@EndAbortionAL.org.
- Opting in is never required to sign a petition or donate.
- Carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
- See our Terms of Use for the full text message terms.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as the provider that sends our texts and customer service, is permitted. All the categories of sharing in section 6 exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
8. Your choices
Email us at info@EndAbortionAL.org to update your information, unsubscribe, or ask us to stop contacting you. We keep your name and email on a do-not-contact list so we can honor that request. You may also ask us to delete your information. We'll consider each request, and we may keep records we need for legal, tax, or accounting reasons, such as donation records.
9. Security and how long we keep information
Our supporter database is open only to EAA team members who sign in through a secured login, and the site uses encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit who can see it.
We keep supporter information while you're involved with EAA and for as long as it helps our work, unless you ask us to delete it. We keep donation records as long as tax and accounting rules require.
10. Children, changes, and contact
Children. Our site and programs are meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, including children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes. We may update this policy. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top, and for significant changes we'll post a notice on the site or email supporters.
Contact us. Questions about this policy or your information: info@EndAbortionAL.org.
