Alabama goes to the polls on Tuesday, November 3.

Every seat in the Alabama House and Senate is on the ballot this year. The men and women elected in November will decide whether preborn children in our state finally receive equal protection under the law.

So before you vote, ask them.

The Question That Matters

Most candidates in Alabama call themselves pro-life. Very few have been asked what they would do about the abortions still happening in our state.

And they are still happening. Four years after Dobbs, the pro-abortion #WeCount study reports that telehealth accounted for 97 to 100 percent of abortions in states with so-called “total bans” in 2025, with pills shipped across state lines. Our friends at the Foundation to Abolish Abortion estimated that 3,668 preborn children were likely killed by self-managed abortions in Alabama in the year after Dobbs alone.

Alabama’s law still says abortion is not murder. That is why this goes on.

So ask every candidate for the legislature:

“If elected, will you cosponsor the Equal Protection Act, so preborn children are protected by the same homicide laws as everyone else?”

A yes or no is all it takes. A candidate who won’t answer has given you an answer.

Sign the petition so your legislators know where you stand.

How to Ask

  • At candidate forums and town halls. Stand up and ask the question out loud. Others in the room need to hear the answer too.
  • By email or phone. Every campaign has a contact page. Keep it short and ask for a yes or no.
  • At your door. When a candidate or volunteer knocks, you have their full attention. Use it.
  • With your neighbors. Share this article with friends and family so they can ask too.

Be respectful. Be clear. And don’t settle for “I’m 100% pro-life” as an answer. Ask what they will do.

After the Election

Whoever wins, our work continues: pressing every member of the House and Senate until the Equal Protection Act passes.

End Abortion Alabama is a non-partisan organization. We don’t endorse candidates. We just want every voter to know where they stand on the most important issue of our time.
